I am honored to receive this endorsement from Linda Appling, the LENO Neighborhood President. Linda’s a great community leader and representative of the people of Lansing, especially those in Eaton County, and I am humbled by her endorsement. We will grow this city together and I am proud to work with Linda and other neighborhood leaders on behalf of the people of this great city.
I am honored to receive this endorsement from Rachel Willis, the Lansing School Board VP. Throughout my tenure as Mayor, I have seen first hand that the City of Lansing and its schools are dependent on each other, and that we must ensure that our children, who are our future, have the resources they need to succeed. There is no doubt that the Lansing School system will play an essential role in our city as we move forward in these next four years.
I am honored to receive this endorsement from the Building Trades Council. Throughout my tenure as Mayor, I have worked consistently with them to ensure that as Lansing develops, our skilled trades workers thrive. The work they do is integral to Lansing’s success and will play an essential role as we move forward in these next four years.
I am honored by the endorsement of Teamsters Joint Council 43 for my campaign for reelection as Mayor. Teamsters 43 represents union workers across many industries. I look forward to working with the Teamsters as both Lansing and Michigan recover from COVID and the economic challenges posed by the pandemic.
I am excited for AFSCME Council 25’s endorsement. As Mayor, my relationships with unions have been an asset in governing, especially key during the COVID-19 pandemic as the nature of work changed dramatically. I would like to thank AFSCME for continually being part of the positive force making Lansing a great city to work in.
