LANSING - Today the endorsement of Ingham County Commissioner Mark Polsdofer for Mayor Schor’s reelection closes out the Mayor’s County Commissioner endorsement week.  Commissioner Polsdofer has served as the representative of District 12 of Ingham County since 2019 and is a Chairperson of the Law & Courts Committee and member of the Finance Committee.

Andy Schor and Mark Polsdofer have worked in collaboration on infrastructure projects for the region.

“Mayor Schor’s bold and ambitious leadership will continue to propel Lansing forward. He knows what the city needs and is tactful in each approach to addressing those needs. Foremost is Mayor Schor’s commitment to the betterment of the region; he recognizes that for Lansing to continue to prosper so must the surrounding area,” Commissioner Polsdofer said.

“I greatly appreciate the endorsement of Commissioner Polsdofer,” said Mayor Schor. “Collaborative efforts with local area officials such as Commissioner Polsdofer to improve the region and raise up our neighbors proves to be constructive for the greater Lansing area and there’s still much work to do on that front.”

Commissioner Polsdofer is a Democrat, representing parts of Meridian Township and one of several Ingham County Commissioners to endorse Mayor Schor.

Mayor Schor has a growing list of endorsers. He is joined by Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, nearly a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others. Schor also recently finished the release of his vision for Lansing’s future, which will be updated throughout the campaign trail.
