LANSING - Today Ingham County Commissioner Robin Naeyaert joined other members of the Ingham County Commission in endorsing Mayor Andy Schor for a second term. Commissioner Naeyaert has served in Ingham County’s 14th District since 2015 and is a member of the Human Services Committee and the County Services Committee.
Mayor Schor and Commissioner Naeyaert have worked together on various projects throughout their careers, including improving Lansing’s infrastructure like the riverfront trail and major thoroughfares.
“Mayor Schor is savvy and forward-thinking. His policies reflect that he deeply cares about both Lansing and the Greater Lansing Region. To that end, he works with the Ingham County Commissioners to bring his vision to fruition and build up the region,” Commissioner Naeyaert said.
“Commissioner Naeyaert has been a great regional partner during my tenure,” said Mayor Schor. “I know that our collaborative work will bring about great change for the City of Lansing and the region so that we can progress towards a better future for everyone.”
Commissioner Naeyaert is a Republican Commissioner representing Mason and rural Ingham County, and one of several Ingham County Commissioners to endorse Mayor Schor.
Mayor Schor has a growing list of endorsers. He is joined by Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, nearly a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others. Schor also recently finished the release of his vision for Lansing’s future, which will be updated throughout the campaign trail.
