LANSING- Mayor Andy Schor announced today the endorsement of Lansing School Board Member Nino Rodriguez in his reelection campaign. Nino Rodriguez is an education leader, having been a counselor, assistant principal, principal, and deputy superintendent. He also is a leader in the latino community, publishing Adelante magazine.

“I’m happy to endorse Andy Schor in his campaign for reelection. The Mayor’s formal and intentional relationship with the School Board has paid dividends to our students,” said Nino Rodriguez. “It is truly refreshing to be around Andy as his positive energy and determination to build up our city is truly inspiring.”

“Nino Rodriguez has dedicated the last 48 years of his life to putting Lansing children first, and I am honored to earn his endorsement,” Mayor Schor said. “Through this partnership, Lansing students can thrive right here in our city.”

Rodriguez joins School Board President Gabrielle Lawrence in his endorsement of Mayor Schor.  Mayor Schor has a growing list of endorsers, including Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, half a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others.
