Mayor Schor Announces Endorsement of School Board Member Missy Lilje
LANSING – Today, Mayor Andy Schor announced the endorsement of School Board Member Missy Lilje for his reelection campaign in August. In addition to her role on the School Board, Lilje is the Executive and Artistic Director of Happendance schools. She is an education expert and a leader in arts and culture in Lansing.
“Mayor Schor has done a lot to provide for the children of Lansing, and I look forward to continuing our partnership,” said Missy Lilje. “Mayor Schor’s vision provides a comprehensive approach to helping our children, from planning for higher education to preparing for entering the workforce.”

I am proud to have her endorsement as we work together to ensure that our children and all the children of Lansing can be successful and help to make our city even better in the future,” said Mayor Schor.
Lilje joins School Board President Gabrielle Lawrence and School Board member Nino Rodriguez in her endorsement of Mayor Schor. Mayor Schor has a growing list of endorsers, including Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, half a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others.
