IBEW 352 Endorses Andy Schor for Lansing Mayor
LANSING - Mayor Andy Schor today announced the endorsement of IBEW Local 352 in his bid for reelection. IBEW 352 represents the clerical, technical, and skilled trade workers at the Lansing Board of Water and Light.
“IBEW 352 is committed to improving the lives of our members. Part of that effort means working with local leaders to ensure we have full coordination–that’s why we’re endorsing Mayor Andy Schor for reelection. Mayor Schor has proven his ability to work with our IBEW brothers and sisters. He supports us as we work with the BWL to ensure great service and reliability to the residents of Lansing, along with good paying jobs and benefits,” said Ronald Byrnes, IBEW 352 Business Manager.
Schor said, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of IBEW Local 352. The BWL has done all they can to ensure reliable service for the residents of Lansing and the Greater Lansing area, and our Local 352 brothers and sisters make that happen every day. They ensure that the Board’s desire for affordability, reliability, and renewability comes to fruition. It has been great to work with IBEW 352, and I look forward to continuing our relationship for the next four years.”
Schor’s campaign has announced many important endorsements thus far. Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Former Mayor Tony Benavides, local small business owner Gregory Eaton, and countless others have pledged their early support to the Mayor. IBEW 352 and UA Local 333 are the first two unions in Mayor Schor’s labor week series, and the Mayor has dozens of endorsements yet to be released. Schor is also in the process of releasing his vision for Lansing’s future.
